Compressor Control System
Controlling big compressors is difficult. Starting & stop of compressor must go in sequence to avoid breakdown of compressor. One such situation arises when compressor is working & crosses surge lines, there gets develop Back Pressure which if not handled may cause big breakdown & casualities. This phenomenon where compressor system crosses surge line & builds back pressure on compressor is know as Surging.
Anti Surging controllers i.e. CCC company’s Anti Surge Controller Vanguards 5, can help in such situation by feeding this back pressure to input side using Anti Surge Valves.
Anti Surge valves are On Off Control valves with very less Opening & Closing time than any normal On Off valve. Because of this faster switching property Anti Surge Valves becomes great help in controlling big compressors.
Anti Surge controller will make sure that Compressor doesnt cross Surge line by quickly operating Anti Surge Valve.
Vanguard 5 supports up to 576 I/O points, & can also be programmed to run custom logic applications. This eliminates the need to have a separate PLC for sequencing and auxiliary control purposes.
